We Have Been Getting your Valuable Generous support through GlobalGiving and we are Thankful to you from the Core of our Heart.
The problem of victimization of poor children and child labour is becoming critical one. We often see children engaged in doing labour whether they are selling articles at roadside or working at tea stalls or poor children doing child labour. But, there is no one who raises voice against it. The childhood of such children goes in slavery and bearing torture. The mentality of such poor children goes weaker day-by-day and they get involved in immoral and anti-social activities as theft, abusing, intoxication, etc.
An Impact Story:- Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan, as a helping hand for such poor children, works as a consultant and conducts counselling with their parents. The organization identified many children affected by the problem in distinct areas of the city who were engaged in child labour. After identifying such children, we conducted couselling with the parents. We got significant support from GlobalGiving Foundation and the donors for the purpose. As the children got miles away from the main stream of education, so we motivated their parents to educate their children. During counselling with the parents of the children, we consulted them to keep their children away from immoral activities and intoxication and to join them with the mainstream of education. We made the parents aware of the problem their children were facing and its disadvantages in the near future.
Now, the street and slum children have left doing labour and some of them have taken initiative to be educated for which they have full support of their family members. The children have given up all sorts of bad habits and learnt the lesson of morality. The parents and family members of the children appreciated the efforts made by RSKS & GG.
Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan is committed for the success of the efforts made by it and organizes several programs to fulfill basic requirement of poor and helpless children. Such children are still miles away from the mainstream of education, so RSKS organized a discipline campaing to teach them the lesson of discipline. RSKS organized 7 days Discipline campaing 4 months ago with the financial support of GlobalGiving Foundation.
The children also showed interest and participated in the discipline campaign with excitement. We taught them the lesson of discipline and morality through different activites. All children listened our activists and trainers carefully and took oath to follow all they had learned in their daily routine life. Some of the children were involved in intoxication, we made them understand to give up such habits and importance of education. The children asked questions to our activists with curiousity. Some children told us about their problems. The problems of such a child is mentioned below in his words.
An Impact Story:- My name is Nitin and I'm 12 years old. I live with my parents who wander in streets to sell handmade brooms that makes me to live at home alone for the whole day and I used to spend the entire day in wandering. In the lack of proper look after, I got involved in bad companionship and started getting toxicated. Meanwhile, I left the study and fell behind in the life.
When I attended the 7 Day's discipline camp of Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan, I learned the important lesson of life. In the campaign, I learned the lesson of morality and other good habits that later I followed in my life.
Now, I follow the moral values in my life and resumed study for which I want to thank RSKS and GlobalGiving.
