Dear Patron !
Children living in street and slum areas are busy in collecting garbage all day so that they can earn some money. The clothes they wear and the shoes they wear are most of the times collected from the garbage and due to the continuous walking of these children, the shoes or slippers collected from the garbage gets torn easily. These children then walk barefoot all day long. The hot summer and cold winter shows its effect on the children’s feet but still they walk to collect garbage as from that they are able to get 2 times meal a day. These children never get a chance to wear a new shoe or slipper.
Keeping all this in view, RSKS India conducted Shoes And Slipper Distribution Program with the children living in the slum and street areas. The RSKS team distributed new shoes and slippers to these children and told them to wear it. After wearing the new shoes and slippers, these poor children started dancing and got very happy. RSKS India team also distributed some snacks to all these children. Also the team members told these children to always wear the shoes and slipper whenever they go out of their house and also told them not to walk barefoot in the harsh summer or winter.
These slum and street children got new shoes and slippers to wear. There was a wave of happiness on their faces and these children were very happy to get these shoes and slippers. Now these children will be able to protect themselves from the harsh hot and cold weather. Now these children will not walk long distances barefoot. The parents of these children appreciated this noble work of RSKS India and also they and their children thanked donors from bottom of their heart.
