It has been observed that there are many slum and street children who do not go to any school and are busy in collecting garbage or working at shops, factory or selling small items to have some income from which they could do something from their own. But the age in which they are working is not the age in which they should start working, theses children must study at schools in this age. RSKS India is doing so many activities like discipline & sacrament camps, nutritional awareness camps etc. under the Make A Wish Project.
In this context, RSKS India team members organized a program in which 70 slum and street children were linked with the mainstream of education. This work was done through the 4 levels of consultations. The first level was with the children and then the second level was with the parents of the children and then the third level was with the community and the fourth and last level was with the schools. This all consultation work took 90 days but through it 70 children got a chance to leave collecting garbage or any other work behind and join the mainstream of education. After linking them with the local school, RSKS India team went to the school to honor these children so that they could also feel immense pleasure and would love to come to school and after this education materials were also given to these children so that their journey towards the education could be started with RSKS India.
These children would create their golden future through the education as they have also got an opportunity to study like the other mainstream children. These children would be able to change what happened earlier and would walk on a right path. These children now have their childhood which was earlier snatched from them as they were collecting garbage, doing jobs at other shops etc earlier. These children through education could change the mentality of their slum and streets as these children are inspiring the parents of other street and slum children and are motivating them to send their children to schools also. These children have also got their first education stuff from which they were able to start their journey towards a better future. The children as well as their parents thanked whole RSKS India team from bottom of their heart for making their lives better.
