Dear Patron !
RSKS India Family wishes you a Happy MERRY Christmas!
Every year, 14th November is celebrated as Children’s Day on the birthday of the First Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, who was known to have been fond of children. Children's Day is celebrated across India to raise awareness about the rights, education, and welfare of children. In this context, RSKS India also celebrates Children’s Day every year. Children’s Day celebration gives a new energy to the children and this celebration program also raises the awareness about their rights, education and welfare through different awareness activities. RSKS India celebrated this year’s Children’s Day with many children beneficiaries of RSKS India and one of them were the children living at the slum and street areas.
RSKS India did organized the Children’s Day program with more than 150 slum and street children this year and these children belonged from 5 different locations of slum and street. The team went to their slum and street area and then told them about the importance of this day and why it is celebrated through the help of story-telling and then many cultural programs were organized with them like dancing, singing and different types of sports competitions in which all the children took part enthusiastically. The slum and street children performed very well in these different types of programs and the winners of all the programs were awarded with gifts and awards. Also along with this, the parents of the slum and street children were also told to take better care of the children as the winter has been started. Also at the end of the program, all the children were given delicious items to eat.
This year’s Children Day celebration program with the slum and street children gave a wave of happiness to them and their family members. The slum and street children were able to understand about the importance of Children’s Day through the different types of cultural activities organized at the celebration. These children had quality time while celebrating the Children’s Day. The awards & gifts also motivated the other children to perform well in different types of activities like dancing, singing, and sports activities etc the next time. The parents of these slum and street children as well as the children thanked RSKS India from bottom of their heart for organizing the Children’s Day celebration at their area.
Once again thank you so much for your valuable Support.
Many Regards
