Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan (RSKS) organized a Diwali 2023 celebration program at around 20 slum and street locations, involving over 550 children from underprivileged backgrounds. In these slum and street locations, many families struggle to meet their daily needs, and children often go without proper clothing, nutritious food, and the opportunity to celebrate festivals like Diwali. This exacerbates the economic and social disparities that these communities face, leaving children feeling left out and marginalized.
RSKS India's Diwali 2023 celebration program addressed the problem at hand. The organization celebrated the festival with the slum children, teaching them about the significance of Diwali. More importantly, RSKS India provided new clothing such as coat-pants, sherwanis, kurta-pyjamas, and other traditional attire to these children. This act not only ensured that they could celebrate Diwali like other children but also boosted their self-esteem and sense of belonging. In addition to new clothes, RSKS India distributed delicious sweets, lamps, and firecrackers to these children. This not only improved their Diwali experience but also left a lasting impact on their overall well-being.
