Warm Greetings From RSKS India Family......
This winter, RSKS India carried out a compassionate Winter Relief Initiative, reaching the most vulnerable children living on the streets and in slums. Through this project, Warm tracksuits were distributed to more than 300 street and slum children across 12 slum locations, offering warmth, dignity, and hope during the harsh winter months. For many children, this was the first time they received proper winter clothing transforming cold, fearful nights into moments of comfort and care.
To further protect the children from winter-related illnesses, RSKS India also distributed nutritious and energy-rich food items, including sesame and jaggery sweet packets, gajak, chikki, dates, chocolates, and biscuits. These traditional winter foods not only provided warmth and nutrition but also brought smiles and joy to young faces often deprived of simple happiness. Each distribution moment reflected the donors’ generosity and the collective commitment to safeguarding childhood even in the toughest conditions.
Alongside material support, Team RSKS organized an awareness session on cold prevention, educating children and their families on simple yet life-saving practices such as keeping warm, maintaining hygiene, and recognizing early signs of cold-related illnesses. This session empowered families with knowledge, ensuring that the impact of the project extended beyond a single day and contributed to long-term well-being and resilience.
One deeply moving moment came from the mother of a beneficiary child, who shared with tears in her eyes: “My son used to shiver this winter, and I felt helpless because I could not afford warm clothes. After receiving this tracksuit and food, he sleeps peacefully and goes out with confidence. You have not just given clothes you have given us relief, dignity, and hope.” Stories like hers reflect the true impact of your support.
