We are so happy to update you on Marisa & Lexi. Last month we let you know how donors like you had helped Marisa escape abuse in Brazil and come home with her daughter Lexi.
Marisa emailed us this past week and let us know that she started a job that she loves as an assistant to an executive in a large corporation. She is so excited! Here is part of what she said:
"This job will enable me to support Lexi on my own. But it would have never been possible if you didn't provide the resources I needed to escape Brazil and come home. Your help empowered me to go back to work after being dependent on my husband since Lexi was born. Once I get back on my feet I am going to donate to you so you can help other American women and children like me and Lexi."
We are so excited to see that Marisa is doing great!
