Murtaza is a 17-year-old boy from the small town of Chattochand, in district Thatta. In October 2024, he visited the SHINE Humanity Garibsons Clinic in Gharo. He had been living with Diabetes for about a year and had only been using homeopathic medicines in an on and off basis during that time.
During their discussion with the doctors regarding the use of Insulin, Murtaza and his father were unsure. They were worried about the cost, felt that they didn’t have enough information about how to use it, and believed some common myths about insulin. However the team at SHINE Humanity's clinic provided proper counseling and support, and they gradually began to understand how important insulin was for Murtaza’s health.
With the right guidance, Murtaza started making changes to his lifestyle. He began taking insulin, eating a healthier diet, started going for walks,as well as visiting the clinic regularly for check-ups. Over time, his blood sugar levels significantly improved.
Murtaza and his family are very thankful to SHINE Humanity for helping him take control of his Diabetes and feel healthier again.
SHINE Humanity is grateful to its donors, whose generosity help us make a difference in the lives of the under privileged
