38-year-old Mr. Shabbir’s journey with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus began in 2009. He started experiencing symptoms like body aches, generalized weakness, excessive thirst (polydipsia), and increased hunger (polyphagia). At first he thought nothing of these symptoms, but when they persisted he realized these signs were an indicator of some problem, he eventually consulted a doctor and was diagnosed with diabetes.
Over the years Shabbir sought treatment from various healthcare providers but struggled to find consistent and effective care. He was given medications but they did not really improve his overall health and symptoms. He learnt about the SHINE Humanity Diabetes Program through a relative, he decided to start attend our clinic
Under the care of the clinic’s dedicated team, Shabbir was placed on a comprehensive diabetes management plan, including insulin therapy (70/30 insulin), routine blood glucose monitoring, along with regular visits. With the guidance and support of SHINE Humanity's team, he has successfully achieved good glycemic control.
Shabbir’s story highlights the transformative impact of specialized and accessible diabetes care. Thanks to SHINE Humanity, he now enjoys better health and a renewed sense of confidence in managing his condition, all leading to a better quality of life for him and his family.
