Naseeba Ali is a patient from a financially disadvantaged family in Noshahro Feroze, Sindh who has been living with Diabetes for the past 16 years. She was initially diagnosed in her village and received treatment from nearby clinics and hospitals. However, due to inadequate disease management, her condition did not improve and gradually worsened, eventually leaving her bedridden.
During this difficult period, her village was severely affected by flooding, forcing her and her family to relocate to Karachi. While living in a rented home, she continued seeking treatment from various clinics and hospitals, but her health showed little improvement. Later, she was referred to SHINE Humanity's Clinic in Koohi Goth.
At her first visit, comprehensive Diabetes-related investigations were conducted, revealing an HbA1c level of 8.4. The clinic’s medical team initiated a structured treatment plan that included appropriate medication management, patient education, guidance and regular follow-up. With this consistent care and Naseeba’s active involvement in managing her health, her condition began to improve significantly.
After conditions improved in her village, Naseeba returned home. Despite the long distance of approximately 345 kilometers from her village to the Clinic, Naseeba remains committed to her treatment. She travels overnight by train to attend her follow-up appointments.
As a result of her dedication and continued treatment, her Diabetes is now well controlled, with her HbA1c reduced to 6.4. Naseeba is taking excellent care of her health and has expressed great satisfaction with the clinic staff, environment and treatment approach at SHINE Humanity.
Naseeba’s journey highlights the importance of patient commitment and consistent medical care. Her story stands as an inspiring example that positive outcomes are achievable when patients actively engage in their treatment.
