It is a great satisfaction for us to be able to help people recover their mobility, especially when they are children. If you look down and think about all the things you can do with your legs and all the opportunities you have reached thanks to them, you can figure out how hard it is for a child to live without one.
Back in 2012 we set a goal: raising $20,000 USD that would help us match 50% of the value of 40 prostheses for children that need them in Colombia. With the support of our donors, though Globalgiving, we have been able to improve the lives of 25 children so far, raising $12,600 USD.
The 25 prosthetic limbs we have installed to children in Colombia thanks to your support mean that half of the children included in our goal have the capability to walk, play and run again. Furthermore, Mahavir Kmina has not only provided the 25 children with the prosthesis they need to walk but we have also given them medical and psychosocial consultations that support the children's adaptation and integral development.
We thank you again for your interest and support, and we hope can continue to count on your support to impact the lives of more children to walk again. We encourage you to share this information with your friends and family so they learn what Mahavir Kmina is doing to improve the life of children.

Es una gran satisfaccion para nosotros poder ayudar a las personas a recuperar su movilidad, especialmente cuando se trata de ninos. Si miras abajo y piensas en todas las cosas que puedes hacer con tus piernas y en todas las oportunidades que has podido alcanzar gracias a ellas, puedes imaginarte lo dificil que es para un nino vivir sin una de ellas.
Desde el 2012 nos pusimos una meta: movilizar USD$20,000 que nos sirvieran como 50% de contrapartida para cubrir el costo de 40 protesis de ninos que las necesitan en Colombia. Con el apoyo de nuestros donantes, a traves de Globalgiving, hemos podido mejorar las vidas de 25 ninos hasta ahora, movilizando USD $12,600.
Las 25 protesis de miembros inferiores que les hemos dado a los ninos en Colombia gracias a su apoyo, significan que la mitad de los ninos incluidos en nuestra meta tienen la capacidad de jugar, correr y caminar otra vez. Mas alla, Mahavir Kmina no solo ha proveido a 25 ninos con las protesis que necesitan para caminar, sino que tambien les ha dado el apoyo y las consultas medicas que necesitan para una adaptacion y desarrollo integrales.
