Hello dear donor, we are really excited to tell you that so far in this year Mahavir Kmina with YOUR HELP and donations has provided 39 children with new legs, giving them the best gift of their lives.You made 39 dreams possible with your donations, and now we are glad to share with you some of this great stories.
Argenis is a beautiful and smart 11 years old girl that lives in the municipality of Yolombó, Antioquia with her family. When she was 8, she was bitten by a snake while she played in the mountains near her house, when she was bitten, the pain was so so hard that she passed out and by the time her parents found her it was too late and her leg was infected and had to be amputated. After 3 years of this sad event, and two prosthesis from Mahavir Kmina, Argenis can tell this story to the world showing us that the patience, love and companionship of family and friends can make the difference. Now she has returned to school to continue her studies and now mom and dad are able to go to work and provide a better future for her. She got her leg back and with it a new chance to accomplish her dreams, she is now in control of her life and is enjoying every minute of it. She loves to dance, play with dolls and jump the rope.
Julieth a 12 years old girl received in September 9th her fifth prosthesis from Mahavir Kmina, now she lives a regular life using her prosthesis and is an expert using it. When she was only 2 years old she had to be amputated after having gangrene in one leg. She came to Mahavir Kmina with only 7 years old and has grown up with us and with your help. In her own words: ¨My prosthesis gives me the chance to play soccer which I love¨
We are happy to have shared this journey with you and we hope we can continue working together to change even more lifes. You, the donor, are the real hero in this stories, you saved this kids and gave them a new chance to grow happily ever after!
