Village Children Study Without Proper Classrooms

By Joy Ojochogwu Etubi | Project Leader

Dear Donors,

We sincerely thank the donors who have supported the Provide Roofed Learning Space for 200 Village Kids project. Your generosity shows concern for children who are eager to learn despite difficult conditions. At present, however, the contributions received are still not enough to begin construction of the learning structure.

In this rural village, more than 200 children attend classes in open spaces or under trees. These temporary arrangements offer little protection from rain, wind, or strong sunlight. When the weather becomes harsh, lessons often stop, leaving children without consistent learning time.

Books and other learning materials are also exposed to damage when there is no proper shelter. Teachers struggle to maintain regular schedules, and some parents hesitate to send their children to school when there is no safe or stable learning environment. As a result, attendance drops and many children fall behind in their studies.

This project will construct a roofed classroom structure using affordable materials and local labor. The building will provide shade from the sun and protection from rain so that lessons can continue throughout the year. Benches and blackboards will also be installed to create a more organized learning environment for both students and teachers.

With a covered learning space, teachers will be able to conduct lessons without constant interruptions. Children will have a safer and more comfortable place to study, and learning materials will be better protected.

We are grateful for the support already received and for the concern shown toward these young learners. Your encouragement strengthens our commitment to improving their learning conditions. We warmly welcome others who may wish to support this effort so that these children can soon have a proper space to learn and grow.

Sincerely,

Joy Ojochogwu Etubi
