Business Boost Grants to Families in Rural Uganda

Hi!  Thank you for your support towards the people whose incone was affected by the Covid 19 pandemic, several home steads cannot afford food supplies for their families, this project supports over 20 households of more than 5 people each, these households receive food that lasts one month.

Your continued support will enable us reach out to more 20 households next month and by the end of this year, we will have supported 80 households to access food items hence better nutrition for the families and most especially children, most of the children 0 to 5 years suffer from malnutrition especially during this pandemic, most of the families have one meal a day during this period and majority have none, each month you help feed 100 people in 20 households, isn't it amazing?

Thanks for your support towards Mountains of Hope programmes especiaal this particular project that enablepeople in acrisis access a meal, you are such an amazing giver, at sucha time every one wants to keep the little they have for emergencies, but you have decided to spend it on those in need,due to the out break of the corona pandemic, a total lock down was declared in Uganda, businesses were closed, people lost jobs yet most of them were the ones providing for the families, places of worship closed down and schools were closed down before the end of the first term, children are at home and that means feeding all the time, considering the education, the government of Uganda is making arrangements to have children learn at home using radios and television sets but most families do not have acess to such gadgets as rural areas do not have access to electricity.

The total number of Covid 19 cases in Uganda as of today stands at 741, 486 recoveries and no deaths, every other day, the numbers keep increasing especially from the truck drivers that carry cargo across boarders, the truck drivers infect Ugandan contacts who sell them items along the way hence increased community infections, the government of Uganda is most likely not to open businesses and schools now, there are local educational institutions which offer study material at a cost so that chidren keep studying even while at home, Mountains of Hope is cosidering enabling children in rural communities access self study materials so that children are not left behind especially those that donot have radios, smart phones or television sets in their homes, this project also is considering enabling 10 children access education while at home, this project will cost $30 per child to access self study materials to enable them continue schooling even when at home, at the moment this project is enabling vulnerabe people affected by the pandemic access nutritious food while in the lock down but one coud consider making an additional $30 to enable one other child to access education amidst the pandemic.

We will be happy if you considered  giving an additionsl $30 to give a child an education even amidst the corona pandemic.
