Humanitarian Project Report: Tent Distribution for Internally Displaced Families in DRC
Date: August 2025
µImplementation Partner: GlobalGiving
Project Summary
In the eastern provinces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (North Kivu and South Kivu), over 21,000 internally displaced people are living in extreme vulnerability due to ongoing armed conflicts. These families have fled violence, leaving everything behind, and are now living without shelter, exposed to harsh weather, disease, and insecurity.
Our goal: To provide 3,000 emergency shelter tents to these vulnerable populations—especially women, children, and the elderly—bringing them safety, dignity, and hope.
Specific Objectives
Project Status (as of now)
We sincerely thank our first donors for their support. With the collaboration of GlobalGiving, we are confident we will reach our funding goal.
Why This Project Matters
Access to emergency shelter is a critical condition for survival among displaced populations. Each tent we distribute will house up to seven people, providing immediate protection against rain, cold, and insecurity.
Beyond shelter, this project restores a sense of normalcy and hope.
