We are helping 21,000 internally displaced people in North and South Kivu, eastern DRC, who have fled war and violence. By providing 3,000 emergency shelter tents, we offer safety, dignity, and hope to families who have lost everything. These tents are distributed directly to the most vulnerable women, children, and elderly in crisis-affected communities.
Ongoing armed conflicts in North and South Kivu have forced thousands of families to flee their homes, leaving behind everything. Over 21,000 people are now living in overcrowded, unsafe conditions without adequate shelter. Children sleep exposed to the elements, mothers are unable to protect their families, and diseases are spreading rapidly. Without urgent help, their dignity and survival are at risk.
We will distribute 3,000 high-quality emergency shelter tents to vulnerable families in displacement camps across North and South Kivu. Each tent provides safe, weather-resistant protection for up to seven people. Our local team works directly with camp leaders and humanitarian partners to identify the most at-risk families and ensure fair and fast distribution.
Shelter is the first step to rebuilding lives. With a safe place to sleep, families can focus on finding food, education, and work. This project will restore dignity and hope to 21,000 people while laying the foundation for long-term recovery. By reducing exposure to disease and trauma, this project also improves the mental and physical health of displaced communities.
