"Before I would join Nor Luyce, I had mixed feelings about the program and was thinking that I wouldn't stay in the program for a long period of time. However, right after the first meeting, I realized I was wrong. A lot of things have changed when I joined the program. I could overcome my fears, I could love and accept myself the way I am, and I have become more self-confident and bold. I gained a lot of friends. Now I can say with confidence that Nor Luyce is an important part of my life and I can't imagine myself without Nor Luyce", said one of our mentees.
During these last 3 months Nor Luyce mentees have been provided with 390 individual meetings which his 720 hours of individual services altogether. During these hours the girls had a chance to understand who they are, what strengths and weaknesses they have, where they see themselves at the end of the program year.
Along with the individual meetings, the girls also had a chance to participate in 3 group meetings with their mentors that allowed them to know each other better, learn about their hobbies, about the challenges each of them face, the common things they have with their mentors, etc.
Along with all these meetings, the mentors were also provided with an opportunity to gain new skills and knowledge. They participated in 6 workshops on various topics, such as metacognition, double personality disorder, art therapy, parenting skills, methods of working with sexually abused children, etc.
During this period our mentees also had the opportunity to meet with a number of famous people in Armenia who shared not only their knowledge, skills, and values with the girls but also the steps they take to gain success in life.
