One of our mentees: Ani, says: "Nor Luyce has had a great role and importance in my life for over a year now. It has given me many friends who have become very dear to me. Nor Luyce also gave me great changes in my life. These changes are mainly connected with personal qualities. First of all, I have better self-esteem, I am more self-confident, which enables me to easily communicate with people, and therefore I have developed strong communication skills.
Attending Nor Luyce is very, very important for me, because as soon as I enter, I find myself in my comfort zone. It doesn't matter what difficulties we may face until we get there, when we reach the specified place and meet everyone, we forget about all of our problems."
During the past 3 months, a total of 1630 hours of individual meetings were conducted. Throughout these sessions, our mentors worked diligently to assist mentees in boosting their self-esteem and addressing various personal challenges.
In the same period, Nor Luyce mentees participated in 82 hours of group meetings. During these gatherings, mentees shared insights into mutual support, conflict resolution strategies, and their general fears. The sessions provided guidance on navigating conflicts, overcoming fears, and fostering mutual assistance among peers.
Ongoing trainings have been instrumental in enhancing mentors' professional knowledge and skills. Topics covered included crafting effective CVs and resumes, as well as discussions on "Discrimination, biases" and "Manipulation."
Over the quarter, we were privileged to host 6 distinguished guest speakers who provided invaluable motivation and served as inspiring role models, showcasing the importance of goal-setting and perseverance in achieving success.
Upon completion of the soft skills curriculum, mentees in the Skill Building phase have embarked on a career planning course, meticulously charting their career trajectories. Furthermore, many have explored potential educational institutions where they plan to pursue further studies.
The quarter has also been marked by successful collaborations and international engagements, further elevating Nor Luyce's profile. Over this period, we established 16 partnerships and participated in 3 international meetings, contributing to our growing visibility on the global stage.
