This initiative, made possible through the generosity of our donors, bridges early childhood literacy and preventive healthcare by providing doctors with books for young children. Thanks to this project, physicians receive sets of children’s books and encourage parents to read with their children every day. The program strengthens children’s mental and physical well-being, supports their emotional and cognitive development, and helps reduce educational inequalities by ensuring families have easy access to books from the very beginning.
Over the past three months, dozens of book sets have been distributed to doctors and regional libraries, which subsequently delivered them to 155 local medical practices. As a result, an impressive total of 22,389 books reached young children across Poland. Doctors consistently express deep appreciation for the initiative, highlighting its value in their daily work, while children receive the books with joy and enthusiasm.
Thanks to our donors, the idea of shared reading is seamlessly integrated into pediatric healthcare. Their contributions are especially meaningful for families facing greater challenges, including refugees, low-income households, and residents of smaller towns. Beyond nurturing a love of reading, this support strengthens emotional stability and psychological resilience within families.
We are committed to expanding the program so that every doctor involved can offer books to their young patients. This vision is only possible with the continued trust, engagement, and generosity of our donors. Together, we can ensure that every child in Poland has an equal start in life through the power of reading.
