HARD WORKING STUDENTS

The sixth grade students of Iwacu Kazoza School performed very well in National Exams. Theirscores ranged from 91% to 64.5%, these were among the highest scores nationally. We are very grateful to our donors and friends, and friends of friends who helped us make this happen through their donations.

Because of you,  this year was a great success for the school and our students. In total, 495 primary and secondary students enrolled for the school year 2014-2015 and 466 advanced. 54 Sixth and tenth grade students sat for national exam.

The students of Iwacu Kazoza Schoolare hard working students, just like this man who is transporting bananas on his bicycle, as you can see from the picture. Let us together continue to help them become self-sufficient one day so that they can help themselves, help their community and country. They are leaders, parents and business people of tomorrow.

Our total school budget is: $65,646. This budget will enable us to pay teacher’s salaries, buy student and teacher’s books, school supplies and purchase new benches. In addition, we still need $19,850 to roof three additional classrooms. The building to be roofed is at the stage of roofing, as you can see from the picture.

As you know, more than 78% of students at Iwacu Kazoza School come from households that cannot afford the $3 per term tuition. Many of these students are orphans who have been taken in by another family.  To help us continue to provide education to our orphaned and underprivileged students, your donation will help immensely and enable us to provide education to them during the school year 2015-2016.

From July 2013 – September 2015, $77,869 have been donated through GlobalGiving, by 199 donors and 7 of 199 donors are making their donations on monthly bases, through GlobalGiving.

I know there are a lot of other ways you could have spent this money, but you believe in our cause, so you chose to invest it in our project. Because of this investment, I want you to feel like part of our team. We're in this together. I want our success to be your success.

We give thanks to our donors and GlobalGiving for making possible the education of these children, who could not have access to education without your financial help and prayers.
