Dear Friends,
We are proud to announce that in collaboration with Yeshi Beyene - founder of AYME (Ayudamos a Mamá en Ethiopia, Helping Mom in Ethiopia) and the University of Gondar, we have processed the necessary documentation to build modern daycare facilities. These areas will provide a resting space for the children of mothers who come to the center for childbirth or medical care.
Dr. Asrat Atsedeweyn, President of the University of Gondar, has praised Yeshi’s selfless efforts, and that all Ethiopians should be grateful for what she has contributed so far to the construction and development of the maternity center. This month, on behalf of the university, Dr. Asrat presented her with the “Woman of the Year in Ethiopia” award.
