Providing meals to 500 street children in Manila

Our feeding activity’s mission is to alleviate hunger and enhance the lives of street children in Manila. Our comprehensive effort was directed towards providing essential nourishment and education to children who face the challenges of living on the streets. We are delighted to share the significant accomplishments of this project from June to September 2023.

• Meal Distribution Through the KalyenDeria Mobile Soup Kitchen: One of the core components of our project was the operation of the KalyenDeria Mobile Soup Kitchen. During the project period, we distributed a remarkable total of 1,600 meals. These meals were carefully prepared by our volunteers to ensure both nutritional value and a warm, comforting experience for the children. These efforts aimed to not only nourish their bodies but also touch their hearts with love and care.
• Meals for Street Children Learners Attending KalyEskwela Community Learning Hub: Our project's vision extended beyond providing meals. We also recognized the importance of education in transforming lives. For this reason, we offered nutritious meals to street children learners who actively participated in our KalyEskwela Community Learning Hub. From June to September 2023, a staggering 10,200 meals were distributed to these eager learners. The KalyEskwela Community Learning Hub offers an alternative learning platform for street children, aiming to empower them with education and skills that can help them break the cycle of poverty and vulnerability. The provision of meals ensured that these children had the physical strength and mental energy to engage in productive learning activities.

Our feeding activity has been a resounding success, impacting the lives of Manila's street children in profound ways. Through the distribution of 11,800 nutritious meals from June to September 2023, we have not only filled empty stomachs but also sown the seeds of a brighter future.
