To Celebrate Nelson Mandela day on the 18th July, DAKTARI Bush School & Wildlife Orphanage worked together with the municipality (Limpopo region), other local volunteers and our volunteers to solve the litter problem of the Oaks Village; there is no local rubbish collection service in the Oaks, therefore trash is littered everywhere in the area.
Mandela Day calls on us all, every day, to make the world a better place. Each year on the 18th July we look back on what has been done, and forward to what will be done.
Our Outreach program has us working along side the local government to solve the problem, first step;
We continue to educate the local schools with our after-school "eco-club" programs to target the next generations to act responsibly in waste management.
We are working our way towards a sustainable future of waste disposal, we hope you join us!
