The daily struggle and challenges that low-income and homeless face are endless. Having a pet adds to the responsibilities. Finding food, water, and shelter for those on the streets with pets is tougher.
Calls and emails from low-income and people experiencing homeless are frequent, asking where to get free pet food.

Our reply is usually: First click on website (see link below) and type in your city to locate where to find Pet Food and Supplies (blue tear drops) in your community. Always call first, as their supply many be gone. If you cannot locate a pet food provider, call your local food bank, the local Humane Society or SPCA or animal shelter or a rescue and ask if they have extra.
Molly was able to reach out to one Pet Food Bank in Toledo.
Since 2008, donations of 1,755,303 pounds of pet food went to Donation Sites and then were delivered to food banks. It wasn't enough during COVID and we continue to purchase pet food and drop ship it to food banks on request.
Since 2020, we have purchased over 10,900 pounds of pet food that was delivered to community food banks across the country. The cost to Feeding Pets of the Homeless was $10,680. Before we started tracking the pounds in 2020, the total purchases of pet food are at $21,960
Donations to purchase the pet food came to us via GlobalGiving which as of today was $3,024.
Gift cards to purchase pet food totals $475.
We also receive pet food through Chewy’s Give Back program from their customers that is worth over $980.
We have over 490 food banks that we know distribute pet food. Calls keep coming to us to ship more pet food.
Please consider making a donation to our organization today. Or donate pet food to one of the many Donation Sites in your community.
Your generosity will make a real difference in the life of people experiencing homelessness and their pets on the streets.
With your continued support we will be able to full fill their requests for pet food.
