Every day we get calls or emails from folks that are below poverty level or from people who are experiencing homelessness who ask for pet food. We direct them to our website and ask that they type in their city and a map will show them where to go. We always say to call first as they might be out. If they do not have access to the internet, we will check for a location for them. We have listed over 490 food banks and other places that distribute pet food. The latest purchase of 108 pounds of dog kibble and 64 pounds of kitty kibble when to New Challenge Ministries’ food bank in Torrance, CA.
The goal for this project is $5,000 and it is because of your generosity the goal is within reach.
So far, we have spent $3,687 of your donations to have hundreds of pounds and hundreds of cans of pet food shipped to many food banks in communities across the country that were depleted.
The second week of August is our annual “Give A Dog A Bone” pet food drive. Watch for more information on how to donate or how to be an active participant in your community to make sure the tummies of pets are not hungry. Sign up for our newsletter on our website.
Be a part of our mission to save pets!
