THEY STILL NEED A SHELTER
There is NO way to promote peace, reconciliation, education, development, safety, health in and among the families who do not have shelter/home. A home is one of the most important things which contribute to the good living of a human being; that’s why at JRMD, building homes for the survivors of the war and needy families, is one of the strategies to promote and achieve peace, and give a family a voice and right place in the society. Building shelters for the survivors of the war and needy families in Burundi, helps reduce the expansion of AIDS and the mortality, occasioned by the present conditions of living of thousands of widows and needy families in Burundi.
From these pictures, you can see how is the condition of living of those widows and orphans that JRMD is serving in the area. Your help would enable JRMD provide shelters to 100 widow families and orphans. So far, we have built 3 houses for 3 widow families of the 100 homes we plan to build in Buganda. 97 widow families and orphans, still need shelters, where they can live in security and peacefully.
Providing shelters to widows, orphans and needy families will help reduce the expansion of AIDS and the mortality, occasioned by the present conditions of living of thousands of widows and needy families in Burundi.
With the help of JRMD Home Building Team, 86 of 100 widow and orphan families have already made enough bricks to build their houses. As soon, as funds to purchase construction materials are raised, with the help of JRMD home building team, the work of roofing houses already built at the stage of roofing will begin.
