PROVIDING SHELTERS TO 100 WIDOWS IN BUGANDA

A NEW HOME FOR A WIDOW FAMILY

 This is the 4^th house that has been completed of the 100 houses we plan to build for 100 widow families in Buganda.  96  widow families and orphans, still need shelters, where they can live in security and peace. Bricks made and houses that have been already built at the stage of roofing are being destroyed by rains. We continue to hope that donors and friends will enable us to provide shelters to those widows and complete the construction of 100 homes, as it has been planed.

A home is one of the most important things which contribute to the good living of a human being. That’s why at JRMD, building homes for the survivors of the war and needy families, is one of the strategies to promote and achieve peace, and give youth a voice and right place in the society.  Providing shelters to widows, orphans and needy families will help reduce the expansion of AIDS and the mortality, occasioned by the present conditions of living of thousands of widows and needy families in Burundi.

We continue to hope that donors and friends will enable us to provide shelters to the other 96 widow families and make them smile again. A smile that gives hope for tomorrow.
