We are pleased to announce that we have a continuing partnership with MAP (Medicine for All People) and a new relationship with Heart to Heart International. These non-profit organizations secure donated medications and medical supplies and dispense them to hospitals and clinics worldwide. These organizations are based in the United States.
Senior managers from Heart to Heart made a site visit to Association Saint Camille (ASC) in Benin in April 2026. They met with Grégoire Ahongbonon, founder and president, and his senior managers. Visits were arranged to several clinics, the residential center in Dassa treating substance use, and the supporting farm in Gbedavo. The storage of medications was confirmed to be adequate, and they witnessed the product on hand that was previously sent. Some issues were found with using paper records and physical handling of medications. Heart to Heart is committed to assisting with these issues (a computer program is already planned at ASC). Overall, the findings were satisfactory to continue securing medications for mental healthcare.
As expenses continue to escalate, and supply chain problems have not resolved, we are grateful for their generosity. ASC recently paid a retail medication company $300,000 for a year’s worth of medications for Benin, Togo, and Ivory Coast. We will continue to diversify resources as much as possible.
