As a mental health pioneer in Nepal, Ankur conducts psychological counseling and psychotherapies for NYF children and offers trainings and workshops.
In the past quarter, Ankur conducted 222 counseling sessions (148 individual sessions and 74 group sessions) and made 23 house visits (at Olgapuri Children's Homes) for 124 children & adolescents using appropriate psychological interventions such as sand play therapy, expressive art therapy, cognitive behavior techniques, clay therapy, relaxation and non- directive play therapies.
Ankur additionally conducted 9 training and orientations sessions for 209 children and young adults. The participants included children and youth from Olgapuri Village, Olgapuri Vocational School, New Life Center and another children’s home (Ama Ghar).
Topics included Life Skills Training; Drug Awareness Program; Being Safe; and Me, My body and My Safety.
