Thanks to supporters like you, the Ankur Counseling Center - the first specialized children’s counseling program in Nepal – is celebrating over 10 years of transforming lives!
For over a decade, NYF staff have provided traumatized children, teens, and freed Kamlaris with the counseling and support they need to turn a life of unimaginable hardship into one filled with hope and opportunity.
This year, 129 children and young people participated in 476 individual and 165 age-appropriate group counseling sessions with a wide range of topics, including trauma, low self-esteem, lack of concentration, low school performance, bullying, managing emotions, manipulative behavior, attachment issues, restlessness, depression, anxiety, sexual abuse, shyness, and the need for love and affection.
With your support, Ankur counselors can continue to be there for children who need them most.
