Urgent Support Needed for Psychosocial Services

By Ruaa Abu Odeh | Project leader

This report provides an update on the project focused on delivering psychosocial support services to vulnerable children and women in Aida and Al-Azza refugee camps.

Since the project was launched, we regret to report that no donations or financial contributions have been received to date. As a result, the project has not yet been activated despite the urgent and increasing need for psychological support services in the targeted communities.

Children and women in these camps continue to face severe psychological distress due to ongoing violence, war conditions, economic hardship, and overcrowded living environments. These circumstances have led to a noticeable increase in psychological disorders, family tensions, and social conflicts within households. Many individuals suffer from anxiety, fear, emotional instability, and trauma-related symptoms, while access to continuous mental health services remains very limited.

This project is critically important as it aims to:

  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions
  • Deliver trauma-focused psychological support
  • Conduct family counseling sessions
  • Implement home visits for the most vulnerable cases

The project is especially important for families of persons with disabilities, who are often more vulnerable to psychological and social stress. Supporting these families contributes to improving their stability and overall quality of life.

Call for Support:

In light of the current war conditions and the increasing social and psychological challenges faced by families, the need for this project has become more urgent than ever. Strengthening mental health is no longer optional—it is essential for community survival and resilience.

We warmly encourage donors and supporters around the world to contribute to this project through the GlobalGiving platform. Your donation will directly help reduce psychological suffering, ease family tensions, and provide safe spaces for healing and support.

By supporting this initiative, you are not only funding a project—you are helping rebuild lives, restore hope, and strengthen families facing extremely difficult circumstances.

Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a real and lasting impact.

Conclusion:

Noor Association remains committed to supporting vulnerable communities and addressing urgent psychosocial needs. We invite you to stand with us in this mission and help us bring hope, healing, and stability to those who need it most.
