Dear Donors,
Picture a group of women, wrapped in rainbow-colored clothing, working together to mix clay and form a new stove that will mean less fuel usage and less indoor pollution, a symbol of hope for themselves and the ecosystem around them. Their voices come together in song and laughter as they help one another — this is a scene you would find at one of our training sessions led by SheNature in Msambweni, Kenya. SheNature has succeeded in training 30 women to build fuel efficient stoves, a tremendous accomplishment that will benefit not only these 30 women but will spread throughout the community. Since the women have been trained to build the stoves themselves with locally found materials, they can easily share this knowledge with their neighbors, creating a network of women sharing and helping one another.
Though we have been successful, there is still more work to be done. We are currently raising funds for our mangrove replanting project and the establishment of the endangered species nursery — but to do this, we need your help! This project has the power to help species, restore vital coastline habitat, and bring women together, but we can’t do it without you. Donate today to help women and habitats in rural Kenya flourish!
With deep joy and gratitude,
The Women for Conservation Team
