Did you that in Zimbabwe 34% girls are married before the age of 18 and 5% are married before 15 with the majority of them at an average age of 12 years old.
This is a huge issue, over the past 3 months our team have been working with girls that have been victims of child marriages and are now in a safe house with our team going through rehabilitation and support. It's an expensive and long process but our success rates thanks to your support are over 90%. Currently we are support 23 girls at our centre and your donations have allowed us to provide them with safe accommodation, food, mental health support, training and education and for 5 of them we have managed to get them back into a small private all girls school.
Unfortunetly due to safety we are unable to release the full stories of many of our girls but we have girls as young as 10 years old being rescued or coming to our safe house for help. It's a huge project and the girls welfare remains priority number 1 for us. We would like to in the future do more outreach and work with government and authorities to tackle this issue on a wider scale.
