Employee of the Month

Based on our rating-based performance appraisal, Imran Abdullah is the employee of the month. A post-polio affectee, Imran is our rickshaw retrofitting expert.

Major Activities in October

• Finalized the design of a rickshaw prototype with higher accessibility and comfort quotient than the existing design 
• Started a successful crowd-funding campaign for Rickshaw Prototypes and Research & Development Workshop 
• Signed MoU with AIESEC in IBA, where AIESEC interns from different parts of the world will be interning with The Rickshaw Project to advocate the rights of people with disabilities in Pakistan
• Met the president of Organization for Pakistani Entrepreneurs in North America (OPEN), Karachi to discuss how the overseas Pakistani community can support The Rickshaw Project. An official MoU will also be signed between NOWPDP and OPEN
• Hired a new Project Driver, Vishal Kumar, who is a wheelchair user and lives in an underdeveloped area near Lee Market

• Development of the first rickshaw prototype that will be ready by the mid of December
• Continuing the crowd-funding campaign for raising funds for R&D Workshop and Rickshaw Prototype
• Presentation of two-years Strategic Plan of The Rickshaw Project with NOWPDP board members
• Training of the TRP team
