PUT UP HEALTH FACILITY IN ZAMBULKURA FOR 10,000 PEOPLE (54492)
Report of activities by Rescue and Restore Hope Zambulkura Ghana’s (RRHZ) on Project 54492 ‘Put up a Health Facility in Zambulkura for 10,000 people’. There has not been much activities in terms of constructing the health facility since it was started in 2020 due to lack of funding. Though the lack of access to health care facility and quality service delivery to the people of Zambulkura and it’s neigbouring communities is still a problem in the Sakogu subdistrict in Ghana, raising sufficient funds to construct the health facility to provide the much needed quality health care services to the people has not materialized. The land provided to construct the 40-bed capacity health facility in Zambulkura and health workers accommodation is still available, and our NGO believe raising funds for the construction of the facility is still relevant, as it will help to build a delivery and maternity wards, children ward, consulting room, pharmacy, Laboratory, and the health workers accommodation. It is anticipated that after completion of the construction and starting to operate 24 hours it will serve as immunization center, health education, provide antenatal services, deliveries, and handle injuries and emergencies. RRHZ appreciates our donors and the ever-supportive GlobalGiving team for the support. We believe the over 10,000 people in these deprived communities in the Sakogu subdistrict will stand to benefit if this facility is finally constructed and start operating. As an NGO seeking to help address the health needs of the communities, we are currently carrying out malaria outreach activities in the communities, testing the communities’ members of malaria and treating those who test positive for the malaria disease as a temporary measure, whilst seeking partnerships with Organizations, Philanthropies, and individuals interested in supporting deprived rural communities to help us complete the health facility we started in 2020. So that together we shall make positive impact to the lives of these deprived rural people.
We thank our donors and GG Team so very much.
