Amid the severe humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip, resulting from the ongoing blockade, recent hostilities, and the collapse of basic services, Saed Charity implemented a meat distribution campaign aimed at supporting the most vulnerable families and strengthening food security during an exceptionally difficult period.
The campaign targeted displaced families, households who lost their primary breadwinner, the elderly, and persons with disabilities—groups that are facing extreme challenges in accessing adequate food, particularly animal protein, which has become scarce for many. Distribution was carried out through a carefully planned and transparent mechanism, coordinated with local field teams who possess in-depth knowledge of community needs.
The process included preparing and packaging the meat in a safe and hygienic manner, in line with food safety standards, before delivering it directly to beneficiary families in shelters and affected residential areas. This assistance brought relief and joy to households exhausted by prolonged hardship, while preserving dignity and reinforcing the values of solidarity and compassion.
Beneficiaries expressed deep gratitude for the initiative, emphasizing that the meat was not merely food, but a powerful message of care and hope at a time of critical need. The campaign also contributed to improving the nutritional intake of children, pregnant women, and the elderly, many of whom are suffering from the effects of malnutrition.
Saed Charity reaffirms its commitment to continuing food relief programs in the Gaza Strip and working closely with partners to expand humanitarian response efforts. With the generous support of donors, the organization strives to ensure that assistance reaches those who need it most and to alleviate the suffering of affected families during these extraordinary circumstances.
