Qurban that Strengthens Rural Livelihoods

By Umam Hadinata | Project Staff

Delivering nutritious Qurban meat to vulnerable families while empowering small-scale farmers in rural Indonesia.

This Eid al-Adha 2026, your Qurban can do more than provide food. By sourcing livestock from small-scale rural farmers, this campaign delivers high-quality meat to vulnerable families while strengthening local livelihoods. One sacrifice. Two impacts. Sustainable change.

The Challenge

In rural Indonesia, poverty affects both sides of the food chain.

Vulnerable families struggle to access nutritious protein due to rising prices and unstable incomes. At the same time, small-scale livestock farmers face limited market access, fluctuating prices, and uncertain income—especially outside festive seasons.

Without stable demand, rural livestock farming remains economically fragile.

Eid al-Adha presents a unique opportunity: a moment where faith, generosity, and economic circulation can align.

Our Approach

Through this campaign, we will:

  • Distribute 500 quality sheep/goats

  • Reach 5,000+ vulnerable beneficiaries

  • Source livestock directly from small-scale rural farmers

  • Prioritize remote and underserved communities

We ensure:

  • Fair purchasing practices for farmers

  • Hygienic and transparent slaughtering processes

  • Targeted distribution to elderly individuals, widows, children, and low-income households

  • Community-based accountability systems

This creates a local economic multiplier effect while restoring dignity and nutrition to vulnerable families.

Expected Impact

Improved access to protein for 5,000+ beneficiaries
Increased income security for rural livestock farmers
Strengthened local economic circulation
Enhanced dignity and inclusion during Eid

Your Qurban feeds families.
Your Qurban sustains farmers.
Your Qurban strengthens communities.
