Bridging Inequality Through Qurban

By Umam Hadinata | Project Staff

Across remote communities in Indonesia, poverty and food insecurity prevent thousands of families from fully participating in Eid celebrations. This campaign bridges inequality by delivering high-quality Qurban meat to elderly individuals, children, widows, and low-income households—restoring dignity, nutrition, and belonging during this important moment of community solidarity.

The Inequality We Address

In many rural areas, especially forest-edge and economically vulnerable villages, access to protein remains limited. Rising food prices and unstable livelihoods mean that meat is often consumed only once a year—if at all.

While Eid al-Adha is meant to symbolize generosity and shared blessings, inequality often determines who can truly participate. For vulnerable households, celebration can become a reminder of exclusion.

No family should feel invisible during a moment of collective joy.

Our Solution

Through this initiative, we aim to:

  • Distribute 500 quality sheep/goats

  • Reach 5,000+ vulnerable beneficiaries

  • Prioritize elderly individuals, orphaned children, widows, and low-income households

  • Focus on remote and underserved rural communities

We ensure:

  • Ethical livestock sourcing from small-scale farmers

  • Hygienic and transparent slaughtering processes

  • Community-based beneficiary identification

  • Accountability and impact reporting

By sourcing animals locally, the program also strengthens rural economies—creating a bridge not only between abundance and need, but also between generosity and sustainability.

Expected Impact

Improved short-term nutritional intake
Reduced inequality in access to celebration
Strengthened dignity and social inclusion
Economic support for rural livestock farmers

Qurban is more than ritual.
It is redistribution.
It is solidarity.
It is justice in action.

Call to Action

This Eid al-Adha 2026, help close the gap.

Stand with families who deserve dignity.
Stand with communities facing inequality.
Stand for shared celebration.

Join us in bridging inequality through Qurban.
