Project Report | Dec 30, 2014
Thanks for a wonderful 2014!

By R.O.A.R. Fund | Animal Planet and GlobalGiving

Dear R.O.A.R. Fund Supporters,

2014 was another exciting year for the R.O.A.R. Fund and its partners.  R.O.A.R. projects continue to raise funds on GlobalGiving.org on a regular basis, and we hosted another matching campaign from September 8 through October 7, 2014.  Two new organizations joined the R.O.A.R. program in 2014: David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation and WildAid Inc.  And a number of past participants continued to participate in 2014: Earthwatch Institute, EQUUS Foundation, Jane Goodall Institute, National Wildlife Federation, Petfinder Foundation, and Villalobos Rescue Center.

From September 8th through October 7th, R.O.A.R. participants were eligible for $100,000 of 1-1 matching funds and $50,000 worth of prizes provided by Animal Planet and its licensees.  You can see the matching fund allocations on the 2014 R.O.A.R. leaderboard, and the five $10,000 prizes were awarded as follows:

Most dollars raised – Earthwatch Institute
Most unique donors – Jane Goodall Institute
Most traffic to cause page – David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation
Loudest R.O.A.R. – David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation
Fan Favorite Poll – Villalobos Rescue Center

In addition to $150,000 of matching and prize money provided by Animal Planet during the matching campaign, the participating organizations raised more than $150,000 of additional funds through their outreach efforts... In total, R.O.A.R. projects raised more than $300,000 on GlobalGiving.org in 2014!

Thank you again for your help in making these accomplishments possible!  And look for more exciting things to come in 2015.
