Title: Ramadan Food Hubs Established to Support Vulnerable Families in Karachi & Sajiwala
Summary
Alkhidmat Foundation has established Ramadan Food Hubs in Karachi and Sajiwala to prepare and distribute food packages for vulnerable families during the upcoming holy month of Ramadan. Additional food hubs are planned to be set up in other cities to expand the reach of this initiative.
This effort is part of Alkhidmat’s Ramadan response, aimed at ensuring food security, dignity, and ease for families observing fasting during a time of rising food insecurity.
Story / Update
For millions of low-income families, Ramadan brings added financial pressure due to increased food expenses. Rising inflation and economic challenges make it difficult for vulnerable households to arrange sufficient meals for Sehri and Iftar.
To address this need, Alkhidmat Foundation has established Ramadan Food Hubs in Karachi and Sajiwala. These hubs will serve as centralized points for the preparation, packing, and distribution of Ramadan food packages, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely delivery to deserving families.
With plans to expand to more cities, Alkhidmat aims to reach thousands of families across Pakistan, enabling them to observe Ramadan with peace of mind and dignity. Volunteers and staff are actively engaged in setting up systems, logistics, and community coordination to ensure smooth operations throughout the month.
