We at the Noor charity for People with Disabilities thank everyone who has contributed and helped us so far to complete our projects and activities related to various rehabilitation physical therapies such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, orthopedics and spine, in addition to mental health sessions, autism classes and learning difficulties.
Where we started our work since 2015 until now by serving children with disabilities in Palestinian refugee camps in the Bethlehem area, such as Aida and Al-Azza camps. Where it is possible to deal with 60 cases during the different months of the year, each according to his age, diagnosis, and his social and family status. Based on that, the intervention takes place and the action plan is determined for each child separately. Knowing that there are children whose action plan can last for years, due to the difficulty of obtaining any development in their condition, such as cases of cerebral palsy, hemiplegia, and others.
During these past three months My -July 2023 , 20 cases were dealt with, including 5 new cases, in addition to 13 cases that are visited and home sessions are held for them, due to old age and sometimes because of weight and the parents’ inability to transport their children to the association’s headquarters and center, and we had to create a program for external home visits sessions in addition to the center’s rehabilitative sessions that start from 8 am until 4 pm all days of the week except Friday and Saturday.
We noticed a remarkable development on a number of children with motor disabilities, and a development began in the lower limbs, and the beginning of standing and walking in some of them as well, and in others the beginning of balance, and others in joining the muscles of the hands and grasping things, and many other developments.
