During Ramadan and the flood relief response, Deaf Welfare Awareness Foundation (DWAF) provided essential food packages (rashan) to vulnerable Deaf and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) and their families across Pakistan.
During Ramadan, DWAF reached 1,220 beneficiaries with essential food support. In response to flood-affected communities, DWAF provided additional rashan assistance to 126 beneficiaries facing difficult circumstances and food insecurity.
Overall, 1,346 beneficiaries received food assistance through these relief efforts, reaching communities across more than 50 cities in Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK).
This support provided immediate food assistance and relief to families experiencing poverty, disability-related challenges, and the impact of natural disasters. For many families, these food packages helped ease the burden of meeting their basic daily needs during particularly difficult periods.
DWAF sincerely appreciates GlobalGiving and all the generous donors and supporters whose contributions helped make these relief efforts possible. Their support enabled us to reach vulnerable families with timely and dignified assistance.
Together, we are helping ensure that Deaf and PWD families are not left behind during times of crisis.
