Thank you dear donors for your enthusiastic support. Through the donations received so far, this project of GlobalGiving (HHH) for RASA has been able to raise Rs. 8.8 LAKHS .( 13,255$ ).
Thank you for helping us book a vehicle EECO, a van which can transport about 7 individuals with special needs at a time.
This vehicle costs four and half lakhs (Payment Bill attached)
KINDLY CONTINUE TO SUPPORT US SO THAT THE FOLLOWING GOALS CAN BE ACHIEVED.
We have children coming to all our three centers in Greenways road, Tiruvanmyur and Mandavalli from all parts of Chennai, hence at the same time, they need to reach the centers. our centers function from 10 am to 3 pm on weekdays.
We also need to purchase a vehicle which will provide easy access for wheelchair users.
Mobility is so important to help one and all receive all the necesssary inputs . We at RASA believe in being INCLUSIVE and supportive of one and all without any disparity.
Therefore we require this special vehicle to enable individuals in wheelchairs to be transported too. It is for this reason that we neeed to purchase a TATA VENTURE which is ideally suited for this and adapt the vehicle so that wheelchairs can go easily into it, with the help of a foldable ramp.
The approximate cost of this is about 9 Lakhs.
There is a balance of 4.4 lakhs rupees with us from the donation already received.
We will be able to procure the TATA VENTURE as detailed above as more donations come in.
In addition we also ensure that the users of the vans have assitance from sensitive drivers and attendants escorting them. Users can travel safely, comfortably and independently .
