In the midst of the earthquakes, COVID19 pandemic and the new hurricane season our Project to rebuild 100 homes has continued its services by providing the community primarily with the much needed emotional support through technological modalities. A week before the COVID 19 pandemic the plans included building a room adapted to our participant with multiple health conditions. This room will also have a bathroom with accessible equipment adapted to a person with disabilities.
The commencement of the construction work was halted until further notice. This situation elevated anxiety within the residents of our community. Our staff quickly moved to virtual platforms to offer continued contact and emotional support. The local government has recently authorized construction work, P.E.C.E.S. is in the process of certifications in order to resume construction.
Thanks again for all your support..
