Hello donors!
Despite the bitter cold in Nepal right now, our teams are working hard to complete the Nibugaun Basic School and Kalikasaran Basic School. We additionally have taken on the task of retrofitting Dhauleshwori, a school we identified as being in real need of help and located close to Kalikasaran. This additional work will ensue that we are making the greatest impact on the students in the Sindhupalchowk community.
At Kalikasaran the first floor brick work is close to being completed and first floor slab forms are being constructed. The toilet block has been completed and work on the septic is set to begin. Additional plans to install a playground for the students has been approved so that children will now be able to have an outlet to play and feel comfortable and safe.
At Nibugaun, painting has started in the classrooms and the toilet block is close to being finished. In Dhauleshwori plaster work is being completed and soon volunteers will move to the painting phase. The timeline of an early March completion date is fast approaching but with strong volunteer numbers our goal looks achievable.
Thank you for your continued support of our work in Nepal and across the world!
