Hello donors!
We are currently right in the middle of monsoon season in Nepal and the rains will continue to fall through September. This past April marked the third anniversary of the devastating earthquakes that impacted Nepal and also marked three years since All Hands and Hearts began to work in the communities hardest hit.
During those three years our team has rebuilt 17 schools damaged by the earthquake, allowing hundreds of children to return to safe and secure learning environments. Our team has learned many lessons during those three years, one of which includes how difficult it is to work in Nepal during monsoon season. It can be dangerous for volunteers on the sites, materials can be hard to source and it is nearly impossible to complete any work. All Hands and Hearts’ teams wrapped up work in April with the completion of two schools just in time.
Although work has stopped, our Program Development team continues to identify schools in need. Work in Nepal will begin again in October, where our teams will be rebuilding two schools in the Sindhuli district. We thank you for your continued support of our work across the world and invite you to check back soon for updates on the new school build progress.
Thanks!
