Rebuilding in Valencia After the DANA

Dear Friends, 

We are reaching out to express our heartfelt gratitude for your generous support and to update you on the impact of your donations during this time of urgent need. 

As you know, we have launched an emergency campaign in response to the devastating situation caused by the recent DANA, which has severely impacted Valencia, Castilla-La Mancha, and other autonomous communities. We have implemented a series of support measures to address the most urgent needs of those affected. 

Each donation contributes to the purchase of essential supplies to provide immediate assistance. We are deeply thankful to our donors, as well as to the volunteers and the many people eager to help. 

Here are some key moments from the previous days: 

• October 31st: Our founder, Padre Ángel, reached the town of Algemesí in Valencia, one of the areas most affected by DANA, with a van loaded with food and basic supplies. He met those who have lost everything, offering support, comfort and words of encouragement. 
• November 1st: We delivered food and drinks to the personnel of the Military Emergency Unit (UME), who have been working tirelessly in extreme conditions with little time to rest or eat. Our volunteers have also shown incredible dedication, receiving and sorting donations and assisting with the cleanup of people's homes. 
• November 2nd: We delivered 5,000 sandwiches and 100 mattresses in Paiporta. 
• November 3rd: We continued distributing food thanks to everyone's donations and the efforts of the volunteers and the members of the association. 
• November 4th: Our Hygiene Bus began operating, traveling through neighbourhoods without light and water, offering people the opportunity to shower and freshen up. 
• November 5th: We opened new assistance points, bringing the total to 4. At these locations, we are distributing daily: food, fruit, water, coffee, cleaning supplies (buckets, shovels, brushes), rubber boots, clothing, home cleaning products, personal hygiene items, and more.
