PARTI Youth created this project to partner with the San Jose Police Department to build relationships with youth in th community!
By January 14, 2021, I would like to set up a date and time to have a joint zoom call with you and invite some youth to talk about our joint partnership in building community and youth engagement and maybe, have someone from the Santa Clara County Office Of Education.
By February30, 2021, at Least 1 Police Officer attends 1 Black history Month event that engages youth in 10 districts.
By March 30, 2021, at Least 1 Police Officer attends 1 Latinx Hispanic event that engages youth in 10 districts.
By April 30, 2021, at least 1 Police Officer attends 1 Polynesian activity of convening event that engages youth in 10 districts.
By April 30, 2021, at Least 1 Police Officer attends 1 youth sports event that youth are playing in 10 districts.
Beginning May 1, 2021, Police begin in engaging in planning sessions that celebrate African American Youth during National Night out.
By May 30th, or the Anniversary of the murder of George Floyd, at least 1 San Jose Police Officer engages in one Community Breakfast that is organized by youth which will raise money for safe summer programming.
By May 30th, the San Jose Police Department and the PARTI Program announces 1 African American youth in every district in San Jose, with a summer event planning internship, which students will organize an event that promotes health, safety, BIPOC in every district in San Jose.
The San Jose Police Department and the PARTI Program will co-host city wide quarterly check - ins with youth and a speaker series to engage youth 4-8th grade.
PARTI will work to support youth to create activities in their school and/or community.
PARTI Program will host a summer leadership program for BIPOC youth and allies on community/event/service planning.
