Yatta fellowships with Umoja students thriving
First off, thank you for your support and contribution to empower youth to discover leadership within themselves. Youth who participate in the Stop the Violence Event (leadership training, vip reception with community, civic and corporate leaders, student fashion and talent show) will receive opportunities to earn money to lead service projects in their city, school, neighborhood during the spring. We are currently preparing for a memorable 25th year in 2025, so it is important and timely to invite you to attend or serve at this year's event so you can witness the power of collecting youth power. Immediate service opportunities for adult champions are:
1. Invite business leaders, chamber of commerce, and companies to attend the VIP reception.
2. Invite civic leaders, commissioners, educators (college, school superintendents, board of trustees,) city/county programs.
3. Invite high schools and middle schools, youth service programs, cultural specific and cross cultural programs and performance groups that value gender equality, racial equity, diversity and inclusion, and wellness.
This spring, our intention is to increase workforce readiness activities and opportunities for youth who live in communities that face disparities and we need access to corporate, civic and community gatekeepers who will attend this amazing youth created and led event.
