Dear all,
we are proud to annouce that Specchio dei tempi has concluded the distribution of the free grocery bags to the elderly over 80 and those in extreme need. Together with the logistic help of the associations Crescere 1979 and Terza Settimana, we managed to reach 5460 people with 93 tons of goods that include fresh products and household products such as: 12 tons of pasta, 15 tons of fruits and vegetables. Each grocery bag weighed around 17 kg.
These bags have all been left outside of people’s doors in order to respect all the safety rules that are in order, and avoid the risk of infection. These activities have been also been possible thanks to the collaboration of brands such as Pam, Coop, Conad, Borello and Defendini.
The numerous messages of gratitude and admiration received for the work done so far is simply overwhelming.
Specchio dei tempi, though, won’t stop here. We just started the project “Families in need”. We’ve identified 1000 of the families that have already been approved by Specchio Point, to whom we will be delivering grocery bags that will include also products for their children. To this an economical support will follow too. We aim to deliver up to 20 tons of food.
But we wont stop here.
We’ve also brought our projects to help the schooling one step further. Tablets have been delivered to the Emilio Salgari School and the Sandro Pertini. Anna Frank institution and Bobbio are the next ones on our list. These tablets are part of a greater project, done in collaboration with Acmos, help the kids to stay in school. In the next few weeks we’ll deliver more tablets to the schools that have requested them. We aim to deliver up to 750 devices. These will all have their own sim card, so that the connection is guaranteed to all the children.
Our commitment in favor the healthcare is still running. We have reached in total 123 entities to which we have delivered PPE materials and with 18 hospitals.
